As a leader of Rotary District 5400's Environmental Sustainability Action Team (ESAT), Liz will share updates on one or more of ESAT's active initiatives — and get your members engaged in the conversation along the way. It's sure to be a high-energy, memorable meeting!

Projects include: Skybridge, a global biodiversity initiative linking individual habitat spaces into a living, interactive network that supports migratory species; the Youth Eco Film Contest, which invites young people to explore environmental themes through filmmaking; and the Lithium Battery Drive, a community recycling effort tackling the growing challenge of safe battery disposal while helping meet the demand for critical metals. Liz will cover the goals behind each project, progress so far, and how club members and the community can get involved.

Liz Alexander is all about creating harmony- internally and externally. As Idaho's state coordinator and a volunteer lobbyist for Citizens' Climate Lobby, she works to protect the environment she loves, and as a yoga teacher, she helps others find the balance within. She served as president of the Rotary Club of Nampa in 2025/2026 and co-leads district's Environmental Sustainability Action Team (ESAT). A native Idahoan with a degree in anthropology, Liz is deeply committed to community building and authenticity. Her own practice runs deep: she takes one day a month in silent retreat, plus at least one 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat each year.
